Teen Writing Workshop

Beginning February 27, the Christian County Library will offer free monthly writing workshops in grades five through eight. Susan Atteberry Smith will be conducting the four workshops. Finding ideas for writing and poetry - writing poetry will be the focus of the first session. Other kinds of creative writing will be explored in March, April and May. Seating is limited to 15 participants so registration is required. You may call, fax, or email the Christian County Library for more details or to register. Summer Programming for Teens

New this year, the Christian County Library is offering summer programming events just for teens. First register for the Summer Reading Program. Then choose two events you would like to attend. We have three offerings:

Drawing with Richard Polson
Thursday, June 18, 2:30-3:30pm
Richard Polson with the Finley River Fine Arts Guild will be joining us for this program. He will teaching us how to draw.

Paint, Pottery, and More
Thursday, July 2, 2:30-3:30pm
We will be working with clay for this program so come prepared. It may require a follow up visit to "Paint, Pottery and More" to pick up your finished piece.

Blog Design for Teens
Thursday, July 16, 2:30-3:30pm
In this program, teens will learn to set up a blog and enhance a blog template to reflect their own style. Participants will learn some basic html/xml, but no previous web design experience is required.
